Meet The Coaches

Pat Kennedy

I have been the head football coach at Lake Creek High School since 2018. This is my 32nd year as a coach with prior experience in The Woodlands and Montgomery. I have been married to my wife, Christine, for 34 years and we have 3 children (Ashley, Cole, and Emiley). ​

Nolan Patterson

I will be going into my 6th year at Lake Creek High  and my 26th year as a coach. Prior to my time at Lake Creek, I have also coached at Cypress Ranch, College Park, Deer Park, Clear Creek and Atascocita Middle School. I have been married to Rhianna for 9 years and we have 2 daughters. Addilynn is 7 and will be going into the 2nd grade and Eleanor is 6 and will be a first grader. Outside of coaching, I spend most of my time with my family.

Blake Davis

My name is Blake Davis, and I am entering my third year as the Running Backs Coach at Lake Creek High School and my fourth year in Montgomery ISD. I currently teach Texas History at Oak Hills Junior High, where I enjoy connecting students to the rich history of our state while also contributing to their personal and academic growth. I grew up in Magnolia, Texas, and earned my degree from Sam Houston State University, where I received dual certification in History and Education. Coaching and teaching have allowed me to invest in young people both in the classroom and on the field, and I take great pride in helping student-athletes grow in character, discipline, and leadership. My wife is also an educator in Montgomery ISD, and together we are raising our two-year-old son while looking forward to welcoming our baby girl during the upcoming football season. I’m proud to be part of Lake Creek and look forward to continuing to serve with passion and purpose.

Bryan Hood

​This is my first year at Lake Creek High School. I have 26 years of experience under my belt with stops at Callisburg, Dan Chadwick HS, Bay City, Cuero, and Snook. Prior to getting into coaching and education I served 5 years in the US Air Force. I hold degrees from Le Tourneau University and Stephen F. Austin State University. I have have two Huskies at home that occupy my spare time.​​

Dylan Larsen

I have been the receivers coach at Lake Creek since 2019. Prior to that I coached/taught at McCullough Junior High. In addition to coaching football, I also coached baseball for 5 years at Lake Creek and have been a part of the softball staff after that. I attended Texas A&M University and received my degree in English, with a minor in Kinesiology in 2017. I have been married to my wonderful wife since 2021, and together, we have a incredible daughter. I am excited to continue my career at Lake Creek. Go Lions!

Brant Bourquin

I've been coaching for 18 years with the last 7 being here at Lake Creek High School.  My family, who are all die-hard Lions fans, and I are passionate about the game of football and the values high school athletics instills in our youth.

Martin Garza

I began my teaching career in 2002, teaching subjects such as Algebra, Teen Leadership, and Spanish. In 2010, I expanded my role to include coaching, where I've had the privilege of coaching football, shot put, discus, and powerlifting. Currently, I coach the defensive line, as well as shot put and discus in track. I graduated from Sam Houston State University with degrees in Kinesiology and Spanish.  I played two years at Sul Ross State University and another two years at Texas A&M University-Commerce. Additionally, I enjoyed a three-year stint playing Arena Football. On a personal note, I am married to my wonderful wife, Courtney, and together we are blessed with two daughters (Isela-21 and Charlotte-8) and a son (Marcus-24).

Will Davidson

I played high school football in the area at The Woodlands HS, playing DL. I went to college at Trinity Valley CC and Tarleton State University, playing OL at both. I have been coaching at Lake Creek for six years, coaching the OL, DL, and for the past three years the Outside Backers. My wife, Allie, and I have one son named Cutler... And a dog named Dixie.​​​​​​​​

Shawn Gary

I have coached for 18 years (17 at Montgomery ISD/ 1 at Conroe ISD). My wife and I have 3 children who attend Montgomery ISD. Our oldest attends Lake Creek, our middle attends Oak Hills Jr. High, and the youngest attends Keenan elementary school.

Cordel Iwuagwu

Hello! My name is Cordel Iwuagwu, also known as Coach Del. I am the Offensive Line Coach and Assistant Soccer Coach. This will be my second year coaching at Lake Creek High School. I am a Houston native and a 2015 graduate of Westfield High School. I had the honor of becoming a Division I athlete and attended Texas Christian University, where I majored in Communications and minored in Social Work. After graduating from TCU, I was blessed with the opportunity to play professional football.

Jeff Newton

​This is my 23rd year of coaching football. Prior to my time at Lake Creek, I have also coached in Montgomery, Magnolia, Sheperd, Splendora and Huntsville ISD. I have been married to Jennifer for 19 years and we have 2 kids. Jennifer is an AP here at Lake Creek, Nate is a Sophomore here at Lake Creek, and Natalie will be entering 6th grade at Oak Hills.
